Now that you have integrated the Zoho Admin with the IMS Admin field now its time to map the Zoho Lead field with IMS lead field.
Let me explain the below field and why this field mapping is necessary. Let us Suppose you created a lead named as : "Puneet Gupta" in Zoho. If lead mapping is done, Imaginesales will automatically create a lead named as "Puneet Gupta" in Imaginesales as well after 5 mins. Every 5 mins the sync happens.
It is important to understand another example.
Let us Suppose you edited the name "Puneet Gupta" in Imaginesales to "Punit Gupta". Imaginesales will automatically change "Puneet" as First Name in Zoho to "Punit" after 5 mins.
Now understand the below screen.
You can see there are two headings. One is as "ImagineSales Field" and other is as "Zoho Field". All the lead fields that you have created in Imaginesales appears in ImagineSales field and all those created in zoho will appear in "zoho field".
Now please click on the button that is shown in the below image with an arrow.
Now let me explain the below image or functionality named as "Mapping Type".
Every 5 mins the data sync happens between Imaginesales & Zoho. Which means every 5 mins Imaginesales robot goes to Zoho and updates Zoho field if needed and it also updates itself if needed.
Inbound Data Sync means every 5 min IMS robot goes to Zoho and tells Dear Zoho do you have update for me. If yes, it collects and update and changes itself.
Outbound Data Sync means every 5 min IMS robot goes to Zoho and tells Dear Zoho you have an update. Please make the needed change.
Example 1: Bi-Directional
Taking ahead the above example. Lets say you changed the first name of "Puneet" to "Punit" in Zoho, ImagineSales will automatically make the necessary change in "ImagineSales" as well.
Lets suppose you changed in Imaginesales the last name from "Gupta" to "Aggrawal", Imaginesales will automatically change the same in Zoho as well.
Example 2: Inbound Only.
If a field is marked as inbound only then the following happens. Let us take an example. You have mapped the First name as Inbound only. If you change in Zoho first name "Puneet" to "Punit" then it will automatically change in Imaginesales the first name but if you change in Imaginesales the First name from "Puneet" to "Punit" it will not change in Zoho.
Example 2: Outbound Only.
If a field is marked as Outbound only then the following happens. Let us take an example. You have mapped the First name as Outbound only. If you change in Zoho first name "Puneet" to "Punit" then it will automatically not change in Imaginesales the first name but if you change in Imaginesales the First name from "Puneet" to "Punit" it will change in Zoho.
Some of the fields are already mapped by the system.
If you want make some change on those that are already mapped, you need to click on the Cross button.
When a field that is not mapped it will appear in the drop down. Once it is mapped, it will move away from the drop down.
Lets take the example of the field named " Number of Guests".
Since this field is yet not mapped, it appears in the drop down,
Since in Imaginesales Number of Guests as a Field does not exist we will first create a field as " Number of Guests" in IMS.
If you have not read on How to create Custom Fields, click here to read it.
Once I created the custom field of "Number of Guests" in Imaginesales, it starts appearing in the dropdown as shown below.
Remember that the fields appear in the alphabetical order in the dropdwon.
Now in these select the fields that you want to map from the both sides , ImagineSales Field as well as Zoho Field as shown below.
Choose mapping type. In this case I chose Inbound mapping as shown below.
Click on Save Mapping.
Now you can notice below that the field is mapped. The arrow shows its inbound sync mapped as shown below.
In this way you can map all the fields.
Now once you have done the lead Field mapping, its time to go to next step to start the data sync.
Move to next Chapter. You have accomplished a large better of the milestone. Now only 10% is left.
